I want you to understand my journey as a TEFL teacher and why I created Lily Pad English.
Why Lily Pad English is different from other online English language schools and what my mission, vision, and values are.

I want you to know that every student is absolutely significant to Lily Pad English and me.
2020 – Where It All Began
My journey as an English teacher started in 2020. At the time, I had no teaching experience, but I joined an online English school where I learned the foundations of teaching English and discovered the joy of helping students learn.
2021 – Discovering My Passion
As I gained experience, I realized that teaching was more than just a job—it was something I truly loved. Every lesson allowed me to make a positive impact on my students’ lives, and seeing their progress became one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
2022 – Taking the Next Step
I knew that becoming a great teacher meant continually learning myself. I completed my TEFL qualification and an advanced English grammar course before moving into face-to-face teaching. Working with students in person helped me develop stronger teaching skills and a deeper understanding of how people learn.
2023 – Learning from My Students
Teaching face-to-face introduced me to students from many different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. Through their stories, I gained a better understanding of the challenges English learners face—not only in the classroom but also in everyday life.
I saw how many students struggled to find opportunities to practise speaking in a supportive environment. I wanted to create a place where learners could build confidence, communicate naturally, and enjoy the learning process.
That’s when the idea for Lily Pad English was born.
2024 – Lily Pad English
Lily Pad English was created with one simple goal: to help English learners become confident, capable communicators.
Every lesson and speaking event is designed to provide a supportive, engaging environment where students can practise real English, ask questions without fear, and enjoy learning at their own pace.
